ABOUT Our exhibit

 

Sandra Scheller, museum curator

Sandra Scheller was born out of the ashes of the holocaust.  Her mother survived Theresienstadt, Auschwitz, and Oederan along with facing Dr. Mengele 6 times while in Auschwitz.  Her father fled the Nazis in Austria.  Sandra and her mother, Ruth, created Art During the Holocaust, a Comic Con panel  which includes Esther Toporek Finder, Generations of the Shoah international, Matt Dunford comic and graphic historian  and Stephen D. Smith executive director of the USC Shoah Foundation.  RUTH Remember Us The Holocaust was created by Sandra Scheller and Ruth Sax. Ruth passed in December 2018.  

We are unique

This was the dress that Sandra Scheller's grandmother wore while in Auschwitz.  They no longer had the striped uniforms.  These were clothes that belonged to those that died.
